Went here recently for lunch and had a very good quality meal, but the service was poor: no interest in the customer, no interaction, and only a glum look when we tried to chat. This really puts a gloomy atmosphere to the place. We wrote to the manager to point this out to her but had no reply! Very surprising. - 4 / 5By nigel harryThis is a lovely pub / restaurant and hotel situated in the lovely Dartmoor National Park. They have great food and a very friendly environment. There is a pub section which is cosy with a log fire and comfy tables, two more formal dining rooms if you want something special and even a small outside section for those warmer days. Staff are friendly and always try to help, if you want something different than on the menu they will try their best to do it! A good range of local beers and ciders and a nice selection of reasonably priced wines make for a great lunch or romantic dinner!June 26, 2016
